Schools improve GCSE results
SCHOOLS are celebrating after being named most improved for their GCSE results.
In Greenwich, 43.4 per cent of pupils achieved five good GCSEs in 2009, which was up 3.0 percentage points on the previous year.
Kidbrooke School on Corelli Road, Blackheath, and Crown Woods School on Riefield Road, Eltham, were in the top 23 most improved in London.
Figures for Lewisham schools show 47 per cent of pupils achieved five good GCSEs in 2009, which was up 1.1 percentage point on the previous year.
Northbrook Church of England School, Leahurst Road, Hither Green, was named amongst the top five most improved in London.
